| Black silicon carbide abrasive is produced in an electric resistance type furnace form quartz and petroleum coke as main raw materials at high temperature. The crystalline material is black in colour. Micro hardness is 2840-3320 kg/mm2. It is brittle and sharp, and has a good electrical and heat conductivity. Abrasive articles made of it are suited for working on cast iron, non-metals. Moreover, It can also be used in the manufacture of high-class refractory products and the like. |
